Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
My job in the Regular Army, from 1988-1992, was listed as a Track Vehicle Mechanic. And I did train as one. During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, though, I served with the 5th Combat Engineers in a much different capacity. I now teach graphics and digital film at Shorecrest Preparatory School, where my experience as a mechanic and my service in war are outwardly inconsequential. I cannot, though, overstate the importance of the discipline that I gained in my training.
