EnCon is a search firm specializing in the recruiting and placement of Civil Engineering & Construction professionals.

Tom has more than 50 years' experience either working in the construction engineering industry or recruiting professionals for the industry. Including the US Army Corps of Engineers, The Carlson Group, and as a Senior Field Engineer for The Bechtel Group. Starting as a construction equipment mechanic in the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE) and eventually earning a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the USACOE. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Saint Martin's College in 1976 and retired from the Army as a Major in 1981. After the Army he was a Senior Field Engineer and Construction Project Manager. He then spent five years in Financial Services Management & Sales prior to joining MBA Management, Inc., a recruiting firm specializing in placing Engineering & Construction professionals in 1991 where he combined his sales experience with his knowledge of the engineering and construction industries.

Starting as a recruiter he worked in the architecture, engineering and construction markets during his entire time at MBA rising to Vice President of Recruiting and heading the Civil Engineering Practice. Tom and his staff of specialists focused on finding civil engineering and residential construction professionals for national and regional firms.
