Paying attention to detail. Being an inspector requires the use of all of your senses. We must always be looking, smelling, listening and touching in order to determine the safety of a home. Being that meticulous is important, and is hard to learn elsewhere. The military drilled it in to me, and it has stuck with me for over 2 decades.
