Knuckleheads Hydrographics specializes in a process called Hydrographics or water transfer printing, using automotive grade primers, paints and clear coats printed design on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film are used to transfer the pattern to the prepped and painted item, once your item has been prepped and painted and pattern has been selected a piece of film is cut according to size of item and then is placed in water as the film floats and hydrates an activator is applied too the dry top side of the film dissolving the PVA leaving the inks floating on top of the water, then your item is slowly and carefully dipped threw the ink and into the water where the inks then bond to the freshly painted item
