Honor Flight Kentucky Board Member George B. Campbell began his journey with Honor Flight in the summer of 2011. He was at the Vietnam Wall Memorial, when an Honor Flight from Chicago arrived with a number of Vietnam Veterans. As Vietnam Veteran, himself, he spoke with one of the Medics who gave a back brief on the Honor Flight mission. He talked with several of the veterans and their Guardians, and had an immediate and profound patriotic outpouring for the healing and bonding that was taking place in front of his eyes. After a Medic wrote down the Honor Flight National website address for him, that evening in the hotel room he became acquainted with this great organization.
