In the search for how we can support our caregivers "Unsung Heroes of Our Community", we have found that most institutions that support caregivers do not provide services for them. By this, I mean that most institutions provide counseling, activities, and services that are dedicated to learning how to care for the patient and how to help their mental health. But we haven't found any information on how we can support them directly, such as bringing beauty services to their homes or taking them to the salon, entertainment with shuttle service, home help such as lawn mowing, cleaning, or essential home repairs. In our search, we have found information in different entities that serve caregivers and offer them guidance on how to learn to take care of the patient and how to take care of themselves from stress, but we always ask ourselves: Who cares for and pampers our caregivers with quality time? For this reason and others, the idea arises of creating a non-profit foundation that benefits caregivers and more than anything provides a quality service time for them. We wonder how many times that caregiver can go to the beauty salon and dedicate some time to a play, or someone can offer a cleaning or painting service to their home. AND WHAT WAS THE LAST TIME YOU VISITED A PARK OR A BEACH???? And many questions arise which we have experienced very closely. Millie and Angel have been living for some time with the experience of being a caregiver of patients with Alzheimer's very close to our lives she dedicates herself totally to her husband to take care of him in all stages of this disease. After being outside of Puerto Rico and experiencing the need that caregivers have to dedicate this time to these patients many times they cannot go out to run their errands or take quality time off because they do not have the resources to leave the patient, the closest ones have other responsibilities in which they cannot attend or even do not want to bother or ask for help. We also see the need for that caregiver not having the time or resources to complete exemption work on their homes such as painting it, fixing damaged things, electricity, and other similar services. For that reason and many more, we have decided to undertake this challenge from synergy to support all these caregivers who have a quality moment for them or a service in which their reward and love are felt, and so do they. We are very excited to provide these services to the caregivers in Puerto Rico at the moment. Fundación Ayuda Sin Limite is a compassionate nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering caregivers in our community. Founded in 2024, we understand the immense challenges that caregivers face daily as they provide care and support to their loved ones. Our mission is to provide caregivers with the resources, information, and services they need to navigate their caregiving journey with resilience and quality time. Whether caring for an aging parent, a child with special needs, a spouse with a chronic illness, or any other loved one in need, we are here to offer service, personal quality time, and support every step of the way. At Fundacion Ayuda Sin Limite, we believe that caregivers deserve recognition, self-quality time, and comprehensive support. Through our programs and services, we strive to: Entertainment: We offer arts and crafts workshops, focused on creative activities such as painting, crafting, book club, gardening club, excursion, movie night, Mindfulness Sessions, and cooking classes. These sessions can provide caregivers with a therapeutic outlet for self-expression and stress relief. Advocate: We advocate for policies and initiatives that prioritize the needs of caregivers and promote greater awareness of their vital role in society. Connect: Handyman Services from minor repairs to odd jobs around the house, our skilled team is here to help. Whether it's fixing leaky faucets, repairing, painting, or assembling furniture, we'll take care of all those tasks on your to-do list so you can focus on what matters most, providing care to your loved ones. Our team consists of dedicated professionals, volunteers, and community partners who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of caregivers. Together, we work tirelessly to ensure that caregivers feel valued, supported, and empowered in their crucial roles. Join us in our mission to uplift and empower caregivers in our community.
