Wounded in Baghdad in 2006 when a roadside bomb struck my vehicle, severing my femur and sending shrapnel throughout my body. After 72 days hospitalized and 14 surgeries, my surgeon told me I'd never run again. I vowed I would. I completed the Marine Corps Marathon, then a 144.6-mile Ironman. The military taught me that a strong team, mission planning, and refusal to quit are what separate success from failure — lessons I apply every day as a business owner.
