Served aboard USS Samuel B Roberts (DD 823), USS Detroit (AOE 4), and temporary duty for Sea Trials USS Hickox (DD 673) & USS Roark (DE 1053). In each case had to bring a laser focus to matters of navigation and maintaining a steady vigilance on the bridge of the ship.
